TBH Suit

Deep into a race we’ve all had negative thoughts creep in. “Four months of training. Four a.m. swims, nine p.m. trainer rides, six hours in the saddle weekend after weekend… and this is where I am? I’m only halfway through the run and I’m dying. My legs are dull, my feet ache… It would feel so good to just lie down. Maybe in the shade under one of those tables at the aid station? Just for a minute or two. NO! I can’t do that. I wanted this. This is what I trained for. Yeah, it hurts, but I knew it would hurt. This is The Back Half. Lean into it and just… keep… going.”

I ordered a custom suit from REAL for my 2019 season. I gave him a general idea of what I wanted and the mock up he sent back was exactly what I was going for. When I received the suit it fit perfectly aside from one minor issue, when I told Chance about it, he immediately sent me a return shipping slip and took care of it. I raced at IM 70.3 CT in the suit, had zero issues or shoulder restrictions on the swim under the wetsuit, was extremely comfortable on the bike (no chamois creme no problem) and based on my time (and 46.5 mph top speed) I can safely say very aerodynamic, the run I stayed cool and protected from the sun, no chaffing/rubbing/hotspots. I couldn't have been happier with the suit and would highly recommend it (I've tried Roka and Voler and there was no comparison). For fitting purposes, I'm 5'11" race day weight was 168 lbs 41" chest 32" waist and the large fit like a glove.
